Admissions and Open Days
Individual tours of school are offered all year round.

We are delighted that you are interested in a place for your child at Emmanuel Holcombe Church of England Primary School.

Our intake number into Preschool is 13 and is made up of part-time and full-time places. Our intake in Reception is 15. Admission into Preschool and all year groups, (except Reception), are managed by the school office. A place in our Preschool gives you priority for a place in our Reception.

We offer several Open Days throughout the year. This is an ideal opportunity to see school in action. Our next Open Days are Wednesday 8th October and Tuesday 18th November, 9.30 - 11.30am and 1.30 - 3.00pm. You don't need to make an appointment, just come along!

Reception 2026 applications:

All parents and carers of children starting Primary School must apply for a Reception place at their chosen school. You must still apply if you have a place in our Preschool and if your child has siblings at Emmanuel Holcombe.

To apply for Reception 2026 in Bury, you must apply through your local council's online portal, via the Bury Council admissions website. Applications for the 2026 intake are expected to open in September 2025. You will need to create an account to track your application and complete it online.

How to Apply:

1. Identify the Application Portal: Bury Council uses the standard e-admissions portal.

2. Create an Account: Create an account on the e-admissions portal to manage your application and track its status.

3. Complete the Application: Fill out the online form with your child's details.

4. Submit Your Application: Submit your application online before the deadline, which is typically in January of the year your child is due to start school.

5. Check for Supplementary Forms: Some schools may require you to complete a separate supplementary information form (SIF). If so, complete and return it directly to the school.

Key Dates

Application Period: The application window for Reception 2026 will open in September 2025 and close in January 2026.
Offer Day: You will receive notification of your child's school place in April 2026.
