EYFS TEAM

A warm welcome to Acorn's page. In Acorns your will find Mr Martin, Miss Cousin and Mrs Lawson, along with the Pre-school and Reception children.

In our class, we nurture our youngest children as they begin their school journey with us. We know that children learn best when they are content and happy. We prioritise developing the children’s personal, social and emotional development as well as their communication skills and independence. Teaching and learning in Acorns is largely through the indoor and outdoor continuous provision, with lots of open-ended and hands-on experiences. We also teach Phonics and Maths (split into Pre-school and Reception groups) and English.

Our classroom has been specially designed to create communication friendly spaces that encourage collaborative play. We celebrate nature and spend as much time outdoors as we can.

You can find the EYFS policy at the bottom of this page as well as lots of other helpful links and documents.
