At Emmanuel Holcombe CE Primary School, PSHE is at the heart of our school ethos. This enables our children to become independent, confident, healthy and responsible members of society. It also develops the "whole child" intellectually, morally, socially and spiritually. Through our whol-school approach to PSHE, it is our belief that excellence in these areas will lead to excellence across the curriculum and beyond in later life.
What is PSHE?
The PSHE curriculum at Emmanuel Holcombe is designed to equip our children with a variety of life skills through relevant and meaningful content. This is done through a strong emphasis on emotional literacy, building resilience and nurturing mental and physical health. British values are promoted through the overarching aim and objectives of PSHE. We support our children with a strong understanding of the diverse world around them and support them in playing a positive role model in contributing to the school and the wider community. At the core of our PSHE teaching is a commitment to enhancing and promoting our core Christian Values.
